Animal Control

 

The City of Canyon Lake contracts with the Animal Friends of the Valley for Animal Control services.  Their officers are empowered by state law to enforce regulations concerning the safety of Canyon Lake residents and their pets.  For more information, you can reach them at (951) 674-0618.  AFTER HOURS EMERGENCIES, PLEASE CALL (951) 506-5069.  License applications are available at City Hall. 

 

  • To report animals endangering people or other emergencies after hours and on Sundays and holiday, call 9-1-1.

  • To report injured animals or non-emergency situations after hours, please call the Sheriff Dispatch at (951) 776-1099, press “5” after recording starts for operator.

  • Microchipping is available at the shelter for $20

  • Many wonderful animals are available for adoption

 

Animal Friends of the Valleys offers animals for adoption and provides animal services to the Cities of Lake Elsinore, Canyon Lake, Murrieta, and Temecula.  They're a non-profit 501(c)3 organization that is dedicated to promoting humane care of animals through education and a humane, pro-active animal services program.  They're committed to preventing the suffering of animals and to ending pet overpopulation.
